Open Hearth has won the Phoenixville Chamber of Commerce Community Betterment Award for 2009, and the Inglis Foundation Commendation Award for Excellence. 

In 2008, Open Hearth developed the Gateway Program, in partnership with Phoenixville Community Health Foundation and the John Lazarich Foundation to join forces with mental health service providers to address the need for housing assistance in our community for people seeking mental health treatment.  This year Open Hearth received the Phoenixville Chamber of Commerce Community Betterment Award for 2009, recognizing the Gateway Program as an effective program of emergency housing for homeless individuals with mental health needs.

Open Hearth also received the Inglis Foundation Commendation of Excellence for 2009 for our work with persons with disabilities.
